Job Title: Junior Editor
Company: Asmodee Group
Location: Alton
Salary: £ Competitive

Job Description

Are you excited by the opportunity to work with a production team to create exciting content?

Asmodee Group is a leading international games publisher and distributor committed to telling amazing stories through great games with over 34 million games sold in over 50 countries. Through our portfolio of iconic game titles, including Catan, Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, Splendor, Dobble/Spot it! and Star Wars: X-Wing, we create a dynamic transmedia experience for players across a variety of digital and physical platforms. With a global workforce of close to 1500 people, Asmodee operates in Europe, North America, South America and Asia.

We have an excellent and varied opportunity for a highly motivated Junior Video Editor to join our Consumer Creative Factory based in the Asmodee UK premises in Alton, Hampshire. The Consumer Creative Factory is a newly formed unit within Asmodee; creating exciting content, and experimenting with new and unique ways of telling stories. This content is created across several formats, multiple social channels, and in a variety of languages. Our in-house studio has two distinct sets and green screen capability, which allows for flexibility when shooting.

As the Junior Editor, you will be responsible for using your video editing skills to assist the in-house content production team with post-production using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.

What does this role involve?
•    Localising content for different Asmodee divisions.
•    Cutting down and reformatting content for a variety of outputs.
•    Creating short edits: from sync-pull and editing, through grading, audio mixing, and delivery.
•    Experimenting with exciting new ways to present our content.
•    Assisting the production team on live shoots in our in-house studio.
•    Taking part in content ideation sessions.
•    Writing SRT scripts for social media videos.
•    Sourcing music for the production team.
•    Assisting the production team with ad hoc tasks.

This role is primarily about creativity – as a tabletop game company, we are all about telling amazing stories through the medium of games. An interest in tabletop games is beneficial, but not necessary.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has worked in the video production industry for a minimum of two years. Previous experience creating social media assets would be advantageous. You will have excellent attention to detail and a creative flare.

You must have knowledge and experience working with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including excellent knowledge of Premiere Pro, and working knowledge of AfterEffects and Photoshop. You will be comfortable with sound editing and colour grading. The ideal candidate will be motivated, highly organised, and have a positive attitude. You must be willing to work flexibly, as occasional evening or weekend work may be required. You will have a hands-on attitude and be willing to help all areas of the team if needed.

Why join Asmodee?
We offer an opportunity to learn and develop in a growing company working with brilliant people and products. In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive a great benefits package including 24 days holiday (+ bank holidays) and staff discount on all our products!

How do I apply?
If you would like to express an interest in this role then please send an email with your CV, covering letter and portfolio to recruitment@asmodee.co.uk.
