Who we are
Fuse is a professional toy and game invention and development studio based in Shepherds Bush, West London. Our hugely talented creative team have been creating and licencing our inventions for the global toy industry for over 20 years.

It’s simple: Fuse create amazing new toys and games for the biggest and best brands in the world including Barbie, Fisher-Price, Jurassic World, Imaginext, Hot Wheels, Pokemon, My Little Pony, Polly Pocket, Batman and Disney Princess.

We also create award winning unbranded toys such as Gravity Maze and Kumi Kreator.

Our lively, busy studio has a workshop stacked with 3D printers (Prusa & Formlabs) as well as traditional machines. Our dedicated and playful creative team include engineers, artists, makers, and designers plus an on site business development team and back office.

About the role
We are looking for two Toy Inventors to join the team. You will be expanding the concept portfolio either following brand wish lists or using blue sky thinking for your ideas. With experience in the design industry, you’ll be able to generate innovative ideas and solutions for a diverse range of brands and product categories.

It’s a team effort and you will work closely with your colleagues in the creative studio and those in the business development team on a variety of projects at one time.

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000
Hours: 9:00 – 17:30 (office based)

What we are looking for
We are looking for creative candidates with a qualification in Art/Design (Product/Industrial/Graphic etc) that are passionate about toys and have skills in games/crafts/making. Please show examples of that in your work.

Other helpful qualities and skills we will be looking for:
• A degree in design or modelmaking (Product, Industrial, Graphic etc)
• Adobe Creative Suite skills (essential)
• CAD skills essential (Solidworks/Blender/Fusion or any other)
• Ability to sketch and visualise ideas to a good standard.
• Video editing, 3D Animation and digital sculpting skills are a nice to have
• An understanding of mechanisms and toy features
• Self-motivated, willing to work with and support the design team
• Ability to multitask and manage own time
• Managing projects and working with clients and their designers from time to time
· Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
