Sets based on The Flintstones, Stitch and Mystery Science Theatre 3000 reach LEGO Ideas Review stage
The first 2018 LEGO Ideas Review qualifying period has ended, with 10 projects now in contention to hit shelves.
LEGO Ideas is a platform for LEGO fans to submit ideas for new sets. If a set reaches 10,000 supporters, it moves into a Review stage where it stands a chance to be turned into an actual LEGO set available at retail.
The projects to have reached the first LEGO Ideas Review stage of 2018 (by reaching 10,000 supporters between January 2018 and early May 2018) are:
- Embraer A-29 Super Tucano (Smoke Squadron)
- SR-71A The Final Flight
- Treehouse
- Stitch
- Modular Arcade
- I am Amelia Earhart
- LEGO Mystery Science Theater 3000
- Acclamator Class Assault Ship
- The Flintstones
- The Vintage Motorcycle of BMW R60/2
A review board of designers and marketing representatives from LEGO will now evaluate each project before hand-picking some to become new LEGO sets.
