Mattel has partnered with JJ Abrams to create a premium action figure based on the mascot of his production company, Bad Robot.
Launching through the Mattel Creations platform, the Bad Robot figure is 7.25” tall, includes 24 points of articulation and its head, torso, legs and feet are made of heavy diecast metal.
The back panel of the head can be removed to reveal Bad Robot’s true inner workings, while the packaging is inspired by vintage comic mail-in advertisements.
“It really does feel like a beautifully made, incredibly posable, hefty version of this character,” said Abrams.
“I couldn’t think of a better partner to do this with than Mattel.”
