BigJigs Toys celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, and the company has over 100 new products launching to mark the occasion.

This year will see Bigjigs Toys debut a Montessori range, featuring simple wooden toys designed to inspire independent learning. The 2025 line-up will also feature new plush toys from its Simply Scandi range, alongside dress-up and role-play sets, musical instruments, outdoor activities, educational puzzles, pocket money toys, a bespoke London-themed collection and a Monster Rail range.

Founded in 1985 by husband-and-wife duo Peter and Liz Ireland, Bigjigs Toys began as a side project while both worked as teachers. Sons Sam and Tom joined Bigjigs Toys after graduating from university, bringing in fresh ideas and a shared commitment to continuing the family legacy.

“Growing up alongside the business made me appreciate the effort and care that went into every toy we made,” said Sam Ireland, Operations Director of Bigjigs Toys.

“Mum and Dad worked tirelessly over the years to make Bigjigs what it is today, and it’s incredible to think about how far we’ve come.”

Liz Ireland, Founder and MD of Bigjigs Toys, added: “Every year, we strive to bring fresh, inventive products to our customers, and 2025 will be particularly special. These new launches are a celebration of the creativity and innovation that has driven Bigjigs Toys for 40 years, and we can’t wait to share them with the world.”
