Asmodee UK details initiative designed to get communities engaging with board game cafes

Asmodee UK has detailed a new initiative designed to get communities across the UK engaging with their local board game cafes.

More than 60 board game cafes are on board with the scheme, which includes tailored support for events and free gifts, including an expansion for Lord of the Rings: Trick-Taking Game and exclusive pearlescent player tokens for Azul Duel.

“We’ve developed our Board Game Cafe initiative with a goal of encouraging local communities to engage with board game cafes,” said Molly Bowles, Assistant Brand Manager for Hobby & Independent at Asmodee UK.

“By providing these cafés with tailored support for events, and fantastic games, we aim to help foster deeper connections and create spaces where people can come together, build relationships, and most importantly have fun. We’re excited for this initiative across the UK.”

Events will kick off in late February and run through March, focused around Asmodee’s key new releases, including Azul Duel, Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Rings: Trick-Taking Game, Happy Mochi and Superstore 3000.
