Office Dog – Asmodee’s newest studio – has detailed its first slate of games.

Word Traveller, designed by Thomas Dagenais-Lespérance, sees players moving through the world’s greatest cities using a limited number of words to get to sites they want to see. The other players must decode their directions as they visit Paris, New York, London, and Tokyo.

River of Gold, from designer Keith Piggott, is an entry-level Euro game set in the world of Asmodee’s Legend of the Five Rings brand. Players build locations along the River of Gold, delivering goods and competing for influence.

The third game in the debut line-up is Crafting the Cosmos from designers, David Gordon and TAM. In this game, players use the forces of the universe – Time, Ionization, Light, and Gravity – to build Nebulae and foster life across their ever-expanding Universe. The game uses a mix of city building engine building, and some worker placement.

“This ‘Freshman Class’ has excited us with their dynamic games, and we can’t wait to bring them to the public in 2024,” said Luke Peterschmidt, head of the Office Dog studio.

“Working with these skilled designers has been a fantastic experience and we couldn’t be more ecstatic. We’re setting the bar pretty high with these titles, and I can’t wait to get them into the hands of players!”
