Working with The Toy Association and its members, the internship program introduces the work of budding toy designers to companies across the industry.

We’ve asked the industry to sum up their predictions, hopes and fears around what the next 12 months has up its sleeve in just 22 words…

We caught up with seven-year-old Anika to find out more about Octo-buddy – and whether this is the first of many toy ideas she wants to pitch.

In this newly created role prioritising brand and growth strategies, Padawer will be responsible for the company’s global brand building, design, marketing and communications across all business units.

“Together, Barbie and Balmain are creating a new chapter in the legacy of the toy and fashion industries,” said Richard Dickson, President and Chief Operating Officer of Mattel.

Winners will be announced on May 12th, following a round of live judging at Spring Fair next month.
