Educa Borras bolsters sustainability efforts by adopting vegetable-based inks and recycled cardboard for its games and puzzles

Educa Borras
Educa Borras has outlined some recent modifications to its production process as part of continued efforts to be a sustainable and environmentally friendly business.

Since December 2020, all products manufactured at the firm’s factory in Sant Quirze del Vallès use vegetable-based inks.

While traditional inks are composed of resins, solvents and additives, vegetable-based inks are based on renewable materials of organic origin and with almost no release of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds).

These inks also have the advantage of low odour, they give off less vapour, the waste generated is less hazardous and they are easier to remove.

Elsewhere, the paper and cardboard used in Educa Borras products is now made from recycled materials and is 100% recyclable.
