Exploding Kittens details latest slate of games, including Let’s Hit Each Other with Fake Swords

Exploding Kittens has detailed its latest slate of games.

“For our summer games line-up, we wanted to build upon some of the key game elements that our fans know and love,” said Elan Lee, Co-Creator and CEO of Exploding Kittens.

“From Let’s Hit Each Other With Fake Swords, which gamifies the classic ‘sword fight’ with hysterical challenges, to Catchables, which pays homage to some of the fan-favourite Exploding Kittens characters in the form of collectibles, we’re delivering fresh games designed to keep friends and family engaged all summer long.”

Let’s Hit Each Other With Fake Swords is pitched as ‘the world’s first sword-fighting card game. The goal is to be the first player to collect three sets of cards. A chosen ‘Boss’ initiates rounds by strategically revealing cards from the deck. When the Boss says “Point” everyone will point to the cards they want. A sword fight ensues if more than one player points to the same card. Cards also have ridiculous rules on them – like hopping on one leg or paying each other compliments during the fight.

Let’s Hit Each Other with Fake Swords is available at Target, Walmart and amazon in the US from July 21st.

Elsewhere, Zombie Burrito is a spooky addition to Exploding Kittens’ Throw Throw franchise. Building upon the core gameplay of Throw Throw Burrito, the game features new twists, including fresh power-ups and a new team structure that divides players into teams of Zombies and Survivors.

Zombie Burrito will be available exclusively at Target in the US from July 21st. It will launch in the UK on July 26th.

Exploding Kittens is adding to its Kitten Games line-up of titles aimed at younger players with You Little Stinker. This picture-matching game features a dog-shaped dice shaker that makes it easy for little hands to shake and roll. Kids simply need to match dice with the picture cards – all while watching out for stinky mud puddles.

You Little Stinker will be available exclusively at Target in the US from July 21st, before landing in the UK on August 2nd.

Other new launches includes drinking game When Sip Hits the Fan and collectibles-meets-card game Catchables.
