Exploding Kittens revamps Z-Man’s Love Letter as Power Hungry Pets
Exploding Kittens has reimagined Z-Man’s popular Love Letter game as Power Hungry Pets.
Pitched as ‘a strategy game for people who hate strategy games’, Power Hungry Pets features Exploding Kittens characters and signature artwork.
Each card features a number and a way to backstab, steal from or obliterate the other players. Players hold one card at all times, draw a second card during their turn, and must decide which to keep and which to play. In the end, the player left with the highest number card wins.
Power Hungry Pets will be available at Target, Target.com, and ExplodingKittens.com from February 18th.
Also new for Spring from Exploding Kittens is Danger Danger, a one minute card game ‘with an evil twist you won’t see coming’. Players draw and play cards as fast as they can for 60 seconds. Each card is worth a number of points, and the team with the most points showing at the end of the game wins.
However, the timer in the game is hidden, so players never know how much time is left. If you’re still playing when the buzzer goes off, you instantly lose the game!
“For our new Spring line-up of games, we wanted to offer customers highly engaging, interactive experiences that are also uncomplicated,” said Elan Lee, CEO & Co-Creator of Exploding Kittens.
“In true Exploding Kittens style, we’re giving you the canvas to have an amazing time with your family and friends of all ages. These games are approachable for anyone to jump in and play at a party or family gathering.”
Other new launches from the firm include an Easter-themed version of Happy Salmon called Hoppy Salmon, and a reimagining of Cocktail Games’ Top Ten called That Escalated Quickly.
