Fans queue overnight for Disney Lorcana Shimmering Skies and D23 Collector Set launch

The official launch of Disney Lorcana D23 Collector Set at Disney Store London and Disney Store Dublin saw over 800 fans queue to get their hands on a copy – some arriving the night before.

Selling out globally within a few hours of launch, the D23 Collector Set features a card from each of the first six sets: The First Chapter’s Mickey Mouse – Brave Little Tailor, Rise of the Floodborn’s Cinderella – Stouthearted, Into the Inklands’ Ursula – Deceiver, Ursula’s Return’s Bruno Madrigal – Undetected Uncle and Shimmering Skies’ Vanellope Von Schweetz – Sugar Rush Princess. It also includes a Winter 2024 Set preview card: Oswald – The Lucky Rabbit.

“This proved to be an amazing event with a fantastic response from both the public and the invited influencers” said Lea Dillenseger, Product Marketing Manager at Ravensburger.

“Disney staff mentioned they had never seen a queue like it before for any event at the London store. Some people queued for over nine hours to get their hands on the new D23 Collector Set but having predicted this well in advance of the event, we ensured everything was well managed on the day, with everyone able to purchase Set 5 products and the D23 set. A great way to celebrate the first anniversary!”
