Hachette Boardgames UK will be launching Festival, a family-weight tile-laying game from designer Gregory Grard and publisher Scorpion Masqué.

Festival sees players putting together a fireworks spectacle in major cities around the globe. By arranging firework tiles on the board, players can complete objectives and score points for special crowd-pleaser spectacles.

The game is family-weight, accommodates two to four players and plays in 20 minutes. Artwork comes from Paris-based artist Melody LeBlond.

“We work tirelessly to put more great games on UK tables, and we’re delighted to have Scorpion Masqué join our portfolio with Festival,” said Rob Trounce of Hachette Boardgames UK.

“This is a stunning production with eye-popping artwork and addictive yet accessible gameplay. This one will go over at game night with a bang.”

Festival has also been designed with specific social and environmental objectives in mind. The game is plastic-free and using soya-based inks, while also replanting any trees used for production. Any colours are also represented by symbols for colour-blind friendliness.
