Hasbro’s Rich Mazel to explore the importance of storytelling in pitching an invention at Toy and Game Design Conference
Rich Mazel, Hasbro’s senior director of global product acquisition, will be exploring the importance of storytelling in pitching an invention at the Toy and Game Design Conference this September.
Kicking off Mojo Nation’s inaugural Play Creators Festival, the Toy and Game Design Conference, sponsored by Hasbro, Alpha Group and Wynne-Jones IP, is a day set to inspire, enlighten and wow the industry’s creative backbone.
With a line-up of exciting speakers from across toys, games, tech, film, TV and the wider worlds of playful design, the conference will unite designers, inventors and those interested in the creative industries.
“I am always excited to come to Mojo Nation events as I know I am going to see a lot of the UK’s most innovative inventors, designers and design students, and this event has the added bonus of being at Emirates Stadium,” said Mazel.
“I’m looking forward to this event and thanks to the Mojo Nation team for pulling together what I am sure will be another productive, innovative and fun event”
Since joining Hasbro in 2013, Mazel has developed the firm’s annual revenue of inventor items from $100m to $500m by identifying, developing, and guiding concepts to production, including costing for over 50 new products per year across Hasbro’s brands.
“Rich and his team are some the toy and game design communities’ biggest supporters and celebrators, so I’m absolutely over the moon that he’s speaking at the conference this year,” said Mojo Nation co-founder Billy Langsworthy.
“Having sourced some of Hasbro’s biggest hits of recent years, his session on the importance of storytelling in pitching an invention looks set to be one of the early highlights of this year’s Play Creators Festival.”
The Toy and Game Design Conference, sponsored by Hasbro, Alpha Group and Wynne-Jones IP, is taking place at London’s Emirates Stadium on Monday, September 10th.
