Melissa & Doug looks to engage the inventor community around pretend play, arts & crafts and developmental toys
Melissa & Doug is looking to expand its engagement with the global inventor community and has detailed key areas of interest.
“We’re looking for new and innovative play experiences that fit within the key segments of the M&D portfolio, including Pretend Play, Arts & Crafts, Activity Pads, Developmental Toys, Puzzles, and Outdoor Toys,” Lee Allentuck, Melissa & Doug’s Inventor Outreach Consultant, tells Mojo Nation.
The company’s mission is to ignite imagination and a sense of wonder in all children, so they discover their passions and their purpose.
When asked what inventors should bear in mind when bringing concepts to Melissa & Doug, Sofia Dumery, Head of Product at Melissa & Doug, added: “Inventors really need to understand the Melissa & Doug brand and what sets it apart from other pre-school and children’s brands.
“We’ve been around for more than 30 years and have become the trusted developmental play brand for caregivers and educators. Our timeless toys are built with quality materials that can be passed down from one sibling to the next … or even one generation to the next. Our commitment to creating sustainable toys is only increasing.”
