Friedhelm Merz Verlag bolstered the Spiel team with the addition of Carol Rapp in a managing director role.
Carol joins the two existing directors, Dominique Metzler and Florian Hess, in taking on joint responsibility for the organisation and ongoing development of the Essen-based Spiel show.
With her long experience in management positions in the board game sector, Rapp intends to tap into the positive growth history of SPIEL to date and also to provide the impetus of new ideas.
“My style of working can be characterised as working with others to achieve goals and always learning something new in the process,” said Carol.
“I’m very much looking forward to my new position and the work at Spiel that it will involve. It is a perfect opportunity to bring in all my prior expertise in the field of toys and games and also introduce forward-thinking new ideas.”
Next year’s Spiel show is set to take place from October 5th to 8th 2023.
