Hasbro’s Star Wars: The Child Animatronic Edition Toy won Toy of the Year, and also took home the award for Innovative Toy of the Year.
“We’re hopeful that this year’s event can be a welcome return to in-person networking, learning and pitching, and we can’t wait to bring the industry’s creative community together later this year,” said Billy Langsworthy, co-founder of Mojo Nation.
Elsewhere, Point Salad from desigers Molly Johnson, Robert Melvin and Shawn Stankelwich was named Best Card Game, while Wolfgang Warsch’s The Quacks of Quedlinburg picked up Best Family Game.
Taking place at London’s Under the Bridge on Monday, September 2nd, the Play Creators Awards celebrate the achievements of the toy and game designer community, including R&D teams, freelance inventors and design agencies.
“This elite group of nominees is truly representative of the global licensing community, showcasing the creativity and innovation that is part of our industry’s DNA,” said LIMA president Maura Regan.
