The philosophy behind Unexpected Games arose from Konieczka’s desire for a studio focused on innovation and idea incubation.

Taking place at London’s Under the Bridge on Monday, September 2nd, the Play Creators Awards celebrate the achievements of the toy and game designer community, including R&D teams, freelance inventors and design agencies.

“This is our first Board Game Club take-over and it is definitely the right time with such a fantastic range of games launching this autumn,” said Spin Master’s Dharaa Patel.

Experiential designer Nashra Balagamwala explains how her new board game, Arranged, aims to provide a platform for people to be able to discuss issues around arranged marriages in a very light-hearted setting.

IDW Games has teamed up with Nickelodeon to bring its classic properties to the world of board games.
