Watch: Buyers & Inventors: Should these worlds collide?
Posted on 4th September 2020By Billy Langsworthy
Can an inventors’ track-record be a key factor in buying decisions? Should there be more knowledge-sharing happening between these two areas of the industry? Are publishers doing enough to shine a light on their inventor items? All these questions, and more, are tackled in this Buyers & Inventors panel session.
The panel is chaired by Mojo Nation’s Billy Langsworthy and features Leila Nosrati (Product Acquisition & Inventor Relations, Master Toy Advisors and former director of merchandising at Toys R Us), Mark Thoma (VP of Business Development at Buffalo Games and former director of merchandise buying at Target) and Lucy Benham (Partner and Buyer of Games & Gifts at John Lewis).
This session focuses on how The Last Gameboard is looking to bring innovation to the tabletop space and features Gameboard co-founder and CEO Shail Mehta, COO and co-founder Tim Schukar, with Raising Nerd’s Lee Allentuck chairing.
Julia Posen – Development Director at Gamepath – tells us about the design process behind Monopoly Lifesized, a new live Monopoly gaming experience in the heart of London.
We speak with Seven Towns’ Elizabeth Moody, Thomas Moore and Jacques Priestner about the origins of Seven Towns and dive into the studio’s approach to invention.
